Since Menterprise Africa became a legally registered organization on 23 January 2024, this fast-growing social enterprise has offered its target audience cutting-edge information and knowledge on a lean budget. Most of its staff have operated on a voluntary basis, driven by the passion to catalyze entrepreneurship and drive sustainable economic growth across the African continent.

This November 2025, you have a great opportunity to make a donation in support of a new Menterprise Africa project called “Empower Inclusion in Africa,” which we are undertaking with the backing of the New Africa Fund (NAF), a US-based charity whose mission is to support Africa-based NGOs, CBOs, and social enterprises to foster sustainable change.

“The NAF invests in organizations with a clear mission and vision and a strong track record of results, but who have often lacked the sustainable funding to achieve that vision. In short, the New Africa Fund is seeking local leaders who are developing creative solutions to local problems,” explains the US-based organization, which was founded in 2021 by two former Peace Corps volunteers from the United States of America.

On October 10, the President of the New Africa Fund (NAF), Steven Beck, informed the management of Menterprise Africa via email that the Uganda-based organization had been selected to join the second cohort of NAF’s Africa Impact Fundraising Grant Program.

“Out of nearly 4,000 applicants, your organization is one of only 52 local African organizations invited to continue in this phase,” Beck wrote. “You now have the opportunity to participate in our 30-Day Challenge Phase, during which the New Africa Fund will match up to $5,000 that your organization raises.”

The Fundraising Challenge will run from November 1 to 30, 2025, and staff from the 52 participating organizations from different parts of Africa attended an orientation webinar hosted by NAF on November 3. Six Menterprise Africa staff participated in the webinar.

According to Beck, the top-performing organizations from the 30-day Challenge Phase will be invited by NAF to a week-long fundraising skills workshop in Kigali, Rwanda — “with all expenses covered by the New Africa Fund.”

He added, “Organizations that complete the workshop [in Kigali, Rwanda] will gain access to exclusive learning opportunities and invite-only funding opportunities with the New Africa Fund.”

Participating in the Africa Impact Fundraising Grant Program also guarantees Menterprise Africa an opportunity to receive 12 months of free fiscal sponsorship, “with the possibility of renewal at no cost.”

To formalize Menterprise Africa’s participation in the program, the social enterprise has signed a memorandum of understanding with NAF, which confirms the latter’s fiscal sponsorship of the former for the next twelve months.

Speaking about the fundraising challenge opportunity, Menterprise Africa’s Program and Strategy Director, Miriam Ademun, said it offered a chance for members of the public to participate in raising funds that can enable the versatile social enterprise to develop and deliver more comprehensive mentorship, training, and incubation services for under-served communities.

“We are deeply honored to be among just 52 African organizations. out of nearly 4,000 applicants advancing in the Africa Impact Fundraising Grant Program supported by NAF,” she said. “With NAF matching every dollar we raise up to the sum of $5,000, every contribution from our supporters will go twice as far in empowering lives.”

Ms Ademun explained that the funds raised will specifically strengthen Menterprise Africa’s work with teenage mothers and young entrepreneurs with disabilities through targeted innovation and entrepreneurship training.

Many youths face barriers to education and employment. Your support helps them gain skills, start ventures, and live with dignity.

“Your support will help us expand accessible online learning, deliver personalized mentorship, and provide start-up seed funding and incubation for youth-led ventures,” she said. “Most importantly, it will help us build confidence, inclusion, and dignity through community-based entrepreneurship events that celebrate ability and resilience.”

To support Menterprise Africa during this fundraising challenge that ends on 30 November, please donate.
